next speed limit

next speed limit

I can't see any speed limit signs or indicators on the GWE route, at least on the service mode runs I've made, 5P17 for instance. I have a HUD indicator, telling me how far ahead the next speed limit is, but try as I might I can't find anything on the actual route that correspondes with the HUD. Is it all electronic on the route? No signs?

There are speed signs, but not the usual rhomboid yellow US type you might expect.
They are circular white panel with red rim and black numerals, a bit like continental European road speed limit signs.
The arrow underneath indicates the speed limit through the diverging route.

Unfortunately, the GWE manual provides nil info on signaling and signage, perhaps Rudolf Jan and/or some other community members will cooperate and provide us with useful information?

Thanks. I don't see those signs on the route, at least on the short segment from Old Common Depot into Paddington - like on the 5P17 run. Perhaps they are not on every track? It's like 10 tracks wide there.

There are definitely modern style speed boards on the (GWE) route together with the inverted triangle advance warning boards where mandated. Whether these are 100% accurate to RL placement I couldn't say.
