News on Tools?

Any word word from DTG on tools? Evident by the recent traffic and without a means to expand, TSW is destined to wither on the vine. *!rolleyes!*
Cheers!

As far as I know there are no tools available yet or are not near enough to completion so that DTG can announce them... [Could be wrong though, but my understanding so far]

Train Sim World although a fantastic idea is just proving to be impractical for most community members.

...Lets not turn this thread into another complaint section about TSW for anyone posting below.

While I think TSW is off to a fantastic start, we really need the ability to add scenarios and have control of our own consists.
I would really like to hear from DTG on some sort of timetable on the news if any new assets or tools are coming to TSW within the next few months.
Don't stop now as you just got the ball rolling. !*salute*!

Considering that TSW is still pretty new, I think that it's in good shape and continually being improved with the help of honest and positive user input. Unfortunately, there are plenty of dishonest and negative inputs as well -- reading some messages on the TSW discussion forum at Steam, I often wonder whether some posters and responders even own a copy of TSW. However, I'm encouraged by the amount of good input and by the presence of TSW staff in the forum.

I have mixed feelings for TSW. True there have been improvements in frame rates and a lot of bugs have been fixed. The QC bothers me, fix one and create another issue, as if no one has really tested the fixes. IMHO there seems to be issues embedded in the simulation causing these distracting stutters during game play. I opened a support ticket and provides my system specs and asked what I could change to eliminate them and never received an answer back and the ticket was subsequently closed. Unless this issue is fixed I do not see much future with an editor. An editor at this time would be useless as the game is now, there would need to be severe constraints on the amount of assets that could be added. BTW in Steam forums you can tell who has the game if there is a mouse next to the persons avatar.
Question, is there anybody who does not get stuttering, and if you do not what do you attribute it to?

Your specs are excellent, but the 1060 may be a little weak when running a very fast cpu and multiple monitors.
I do not see stuttering in TSW running Haswell, IvyBridge, Skylake i5 "K" variant cpu's with video cards GTX 960, 970 and 1070.
My take would be the dual monitors - TSW may not run as well on multiple monitors as it does on a single one, plus latency and synchronisation between them.
Other items that can cause stutters: UAC, TSW installed in Program Files folder, AV software, Malware software, Core Parking, and processes running in the background?
It may be worth trying the free version of Process Lasso which can smooth out core usage and optimise other settings. https://bitsum.com/docs/how-do-i-tweak- ... rformance/

Interesting as to what you said about the GTX1060. I replaced a GTX 960 4gb card with it. I wonder if I should revert. Another option would be to find a way to run my desktop off of the onboard graphics and just run the game on the 1060. I know this is going off topic here.

You can - its complicated and your mobo needs to support it. Google Lucid Logix Virtu - here's a start https://downloadcenter.intel.com/downlo ... cid-Virtu- and https://www.asus.com/support/faq/1006857

BTW IMO it will not make any difference to running TSW.
I wouldn't revert back to the 960 the 1060 was a leap forward - I still think its the dual monitor set up!

This whole conversation is a waste of time. The game is still glitched with flashes and stutters unless you are running some computer designed and built by NASA. Just deal with it as it goes through its growing pains or do what I have done and put it into the closet and go back to the good times at TS2017.

This thread contains the latest post from DTG re tools. I'd not be expecting anything for a few months at the earliest...many rocks and hard places.

However most of the posters over there don't like anything including each other and sometimes I think even themselves.

I agree. Lots of hostilities over there. I venture over to look around as I have since Nov. 1999. Miss the busy days when MSTS was the only game (Sim) in town.
