Is that loco included in the start up set?

Visually, DTG did a great job on the locomotive. !!*ok*!!

It sure does look nice.

Appearances can be deceiving you know ...

I am more interested in its workings and operational realism, more difficult to implement than the actual 3D model.

It will be interesting to see how functional the IFDs are.

Why hasn't this been made for TS yet? But DTG did an amazing job on the engine. One thing they do tend to do is make the sounds inaccurate, which I hope does not happen.

Kanawha, when I tried the beta, I'd say that the realism was far superior to TS2017. Except for the over-eager brakes, but DTG has mentioned that those will be rectified by the March release. Control was pretty good, and there is no substitute for being able to walk around and couple/uncouple cars and throw switches.

I feel the 3d model is just as important to the overall immersion of the sim and also hope DTG gets the physics and realism of the locomotives correct in TSW. Used to be a conductor for UP and always liked the AC4400CW's a lot.

Absolutely, I've now got my new GTX 1060 6GB all primed and ready to slaughter this game to pieces, and then, DTG push the release date back, isn't that just so bloody typical....... !*roll-laugh*!

Patience my friend. I suspect since I had the 1060 when the beta was out and it still gagged to usability that the guys at DTG are finding the path to acceptable performance a much tougher nut to crack than they thought at the time. In the meantime enjoy your great card. It's nice to run 2017 with all of the sliders far right.

Yes, to be fair, Buzz, I had the vast majority of my sliders maxed out on my old card, but, a lot of the 3rd party European routes were very resource hungry and they often stuttered, I'm going through all my routes at the moment and haven't had the slightest bother with any of them, so far, everything is maxed out to absolute perfection.
What you say about TSW is a little disconcerting, however, but, we'll have to wait until it comes out for us to get a good crack at it, it's those who have obtained a Titan card that I would empathise with most, if this new version doesn't run smoothly on them.
