A candid look at the TSW beta results now that the dust has settled from it. An interesting section near the conclusion of the article:
One of the problems that people were having was that the braking system was too powerful. The underlying physics were correct but the values we put into it were wrong. So, it was quite a simple job to fix it, which was good because it meant that we could see that the physics were working in the right way, it was just that we didn’t input the right values in the first place.

1) I appreciate DTG's honesty in admitting they didn't put the correct values in for the beta, and 2) this is pretty promising for the future of TSW. The fact that there's a sophisticated braking 'system' is a good sign. I wonder then if 3) the casual user will be able to edit the game's physics values?

Pretty certain the answer's no but I'm curious why you think a casual user, as opposed to a developer say, would even want to edit the game's physics values.

I think you may have missed a few years worth of posts on this forum.
Short answer: because they are usually wrong.
Also, they answer is most likely yes.

Sam,
Contrary to some on here you are perfectly correct. They apparently don't know the difference between a "casual user" and the ocd hard core folks that inhabit the dark reaches of the forum. If you manage to stay a casual user your mental health will be better for it.
