The reload/restore from save still doesn't restore the EOTD with Beta Update 3.

That was taken with the original release version of TSW, I just added those shots to show that it wasn't just the AC44 that had that issue. I'll try the current version in a short while...

It always amazes me how fixing one thing breaks another that was previously whole, or brings back a bug from a few releases back.

I suppose this is because the QA people work in a team and this guy fixes this one day, that gal fixes that the next day without knowing what the first guy has done, and finally a third person puts this and that together and brings back a bug fixed long ago. When the next round of triaged support tickets to be processed comes in, the whole process is repeated, perhaps with different members of staff.

The locomotives must have been created concurrently by separate parties since the features of the GP38 aren't exactly like those from the SD40, while the CW4400 was perhaps commissioned from a third party of DTG's " preferred suppliers "?

Hopefully this will all get sorted out in the next couple of updates, and DTG will have set and established a standard set of features that all future creations must adhere to.

Just tried it in the latest beta build, the excessive lighting issue seems to have gone, however the issue that headlights don't always appear to be lit until the loco reaches a certain distance remains. Also, in view 8, if you rotate your viewpoint from side to side, the headlights appear / disappear...

I have not noticed the blinding light issue but while running the AC44 the other day I did notice one of the ditchlights created excessive light while flashing.

Evening folks,

I've just had another play with the SD40 working the oil tanks scenario, and can confirm that I still have the blinding head lights issue when the camera is rotated from side to side. The same issue is visible from outside of the loco... I also could not exit either the scenario, or get to the menu by pressing the Esc key, I had to use the task manager.

Workaround for the ESC issue. Press the 9 key 2 times then the ESC key.

I get that in the AC44 approaching Cumberland. Had the ditch lights flashing inside the cab.

Blinding light issue also occurs when its fully cloudy.

Message received from DTG regarding the ditch light issue 4/6/2017 states:
"Thanks for getting back in touch.

We're planning on uploading a new test build tomorrow night for people to test over the weekend that should hopefully address this issue, this will then be rolled out to everyone next week.

We'll keep you updated across all our channels."

Test builds are coming along nicely. I wonder if they have made further progress on the performance issue. Time will tell tomorrow. Thanks for posting the update AmericanSteam
