Just had CTD in the "Fully Fueled" scenario. I was operating the lead locomotive out of Cumberland and I tried to use Camera 8 - CTD. I've decided to lower my global detail level to Low where I can get 40-50 FPS on my laptop vs. my normal 20-25 FPS, so I think I'll re-run the scenario tomorrow. Time to finish watching the hockey game, then bedtime, methinks...
Running the "Clear Cut" scenario reminds me of my part-time gig driving school buses for the town I live in. I also work in the bus yard fueling, moving buses, making minor repairs, mostly lights, and walking a LOT. I wear an activity tracker (
Fitbit Charge 2 for anyone who's interested) and during a 5-hour shift I can walk between 4 and 6
miles in the bus yard. The yard is only 400 x 100 yards, so it's no rail yard. Keeps me in shape, that's fer sure...
I like the immersion of TSW. I'm accustomed to first-person walkaround type games (Skyrim, Fallout 4, Portal/Portal 2) so the walking around doesn't bother me.
Definitely will keep playing this; it'll be interesting following the improvements that DTG will make. I've tried the Marleyman mods for the nVidia control panel with mixed results. I definitely do not get the improvements that others are seeing. Different systems react differently.
Having fun running trains!
Best,
Marc
