What I see is the debt DTG owns to the investors, if they open editor, chunks of profit will be taken away by 3rd party devs and DTG will be left with less funds.
!!det!!

Probably, and UE royalties.

So on the visuals, TSW2 gets a direct competitor:

and a different, more versatile mode of play.

Bring it on, competition only drives the developers forwards.

DTG's own board is such a funny place *!lol!* . Brits take everything laconic, unlike some others here and elsewhere.

It is great to have competition, but I wish they had US content! I think this is only European content.

I wouldn't write it off just because they haven't said anything about US content yet.

Your company has no intention to produce DLC for TSW?

The ever changing franchises of the UK’s passenger carriers will give DTG many licensing issues. Already there are lots of replacement repaints, there are even BNSF repaints already.

AFAICT, German prospective buyers are already angry over broken promises regarding completeness of certain announced routes and their included rolling stock.

Wait and see how ever stoic DTG staff handles all this on their own board.

.

LOL christ, no. !*roll-laugh*! Not with 32 channels of audio. I can't even make a realistic sounding fart with so few audio channels.

I am not writing it off yet. If they do not have US content, it will be a no purchase for me. I really hope they do.

Where does TSW2 stand now? Probably wait till my game gets updated and start it up for once again.

They key will be the editor for me.
That's the reason why I have only very 4 routes from TSW and I have run the Sand Patch more than one time only.
The people producing content are limited though they contribute a lot to a sim. And this is critical in the long run.
People from simrail seem to have done everything right so far in my opinion.
No reason why a creator shouldn't produce content for the US, too.
We have here really potential, be optimistic !

DTG made it clear already there will be NO editor for the general public.

Only selected business partners can get access to this editor. And from what little information has leaked, it is not for the casual dabbler.

We’ll have to wait and see if the announced competitors will provide an easy to use editor. And let their efforts turn out to be more than a train driving game, hopefully a proper simulation.

Two of the most Iconic and Classic routes coming to TSW2. Good Job. I'm more looking forward to London to Brighton and the upcoming Western Cornish route too. I my get these route for the classicalness of the routes.
