Steam is coming to Train Sim World 2

Steam is coming to Train Sim World 2

!*drool*!
Steam power is a very different experience to the diesels and electrics already available in the game.
Getting it right as a player experience means understanding where those differences are and how it should feel to manage power on a more mechanical basis.
We caught up with Dovetail Games’ founder, CEO and Chief Creative Officer Paul Jackson to get his insight into what the challenges are, and what we want to accomplish in bringing steam to Train Sim World.

Why do you say that? They will put out a bunch of euro gunk that has little interest for most Americans and still no editor.

Exactly! As pretty as TSW2 is it is useless to me without an editor. I do enjoy it every now and then, but just does not have much re-play value.

DTG has a hard enough time making proper diesels for TSW, so I wouldn't get my hopes up for this. Meanwhile in TS, we have Mike Rennie's Big Boy to look forward to.

There is nothing in a league with Mike's offerings however the stuff by G-Trax ain't too shabby of yeah and the stuff from DSGDDR also beautiful work.

I am quite sure they even don't have good sounds for their machine.
Imagine you run a steam engine and it is just cuffs a bit. A steam machine has to breathe !
I never forget to run mrennies UP FEF-3 844 the first time up to SH. WOW !
I even don't remember whether DTG has developed a steam engine from outside UK (K4 ?).
And for these from UK it is a boon what SSS has created ( https://www.steamsoundssupreme.com/page_tssp01.html ).

The best thing for the TSW franchise would have been for it to have been abandoned just before release like MSTS2. It's clinging on to a cliff face right now, and will be for quite a while. UE4 was a terrible choice.

And I've never seen the XD emoticon shortcut work with PHP bulletin.

You've never had mine before, and if you didn't have to pay for it, I wouldn't have made it.

No one's forcing you to buy anything. If you believe Mikes rendition is on par with "another loco we already have" then there's no point in arguing with you any further. Back to topic.
