No word about physics or simulation updates. Guess we have to find out ourselves and start adding defects, bugs and omissions to the support ticker all over again.

Why would any of you pay to be beta testers and submit tickets? The bugs that keep showing up are all things that should have been caught by the internal beta team. It's a bit of a joke.

I hope they have most of the crew working on 2017 stuff since that's where the revenue stream is goin to come from in the near future since TSW has such limited appeal.

One could assume DTG is in an uneasy split now, TSW isn't going anywhere soon, and to avoid a second T:ANE, needs large sums of money poured into it without short or even mid term revenues.
TS17 cannot be improved upon unless at great costs to give it a new core, TS18 is just a rehash with new bouncing icons. So income can only be generated through Steam sales and partner program fees.
The question is, can sufficient DLC be produced that will actually appeal to GER, UK or USA users to generate the money to keep TSW afloat and hopefully advancing in the right direction towards an eventual take over from TS19?

Not to totally highjack the thread but there are certainly plenty of US routes that haven't been done as well as things like E-units' a bunch of famous trains, updated passenger cars, and be still my heart some more quality steam. Nobody can probably match Mike Rennie but they sure don't have to be that caliber to sell. I for one would buy any of this stuff in a New York minute. If anybody wants to add to this let's start a new wish list thread over on the DTG topic.

No need to worry about hijacking ...
Without any user creativity tools, TSW has no appeal to most of us.

There are still many commercial opportunities in TS17, PRR steam, ALCo's, expansions to existing routes, what else more ...

However the current trend of 3/4 instead of full routes doesn't appeal to me.

My wallet does the voting and Steam refunds.

Some of the fixes are welcome and I will revisit later to see what changes they have brought in reality. The inclusion of the OLE at Paddington is welcome, but shouldn't have been missing in the first place!

there are certainly plenty of US routes that haven't been done

The old NYC up through the Adirondacks from Thendara to Malone!

Thanks a lot to whomever removed my reply to this thread: this place is becoming more and more like Trainsim.

I agree. At least they are still fixing issues with the sim. I really would like to see more US routes soon.

Can anyone tell me if Train Simulator 2017 and Train Sim Wolrd supports the ULTRAWIDE Monitor format?
