TSW:CSX hot seats ...

I've noticed one cannot relinquish a service on command, one has to wait like 2 minutes before the game offers to let an Ai engineer take over.

Tired of standing around, I usually take a conductor's or brakeman's seat, also to have some forwards vision.
However, on the GP38, all seats are hot, i.e. linked to the controls, and I cannot ride that locomotive as a seated passenger, LOL.

Upon perusal of the manuals, I've found one can use the C key to crouch down and have some forwards vision while standing.
There still seems to be a bug in the riding the cab as a passenger, as after a while I've found myself on the platform of the second unit, unable to use the crossing onto the lead unit when trying to get back into the cab.
Also, there are sound glitches, i.e. the cab occlusion fails and the exterior sounds come on full.
Seems there is still something wrong with the scripts, some time out of whatever?

Anybody has had the same experiences?

I've had many of the same experiences with the latest build. I've actually been "ejected" from the locomotive (SD40-2 I think it was) when riding as a passenger. I suddenly was on the track, getting bumped around by the train, and ended up inside one of the coal hoppers with no way to get out. ALso, agree 100% about the sound occlusion getting confused. Seems to happen when you stand near boundaries. I've been able to "reset" it after changing views a few times.

I re-installed the game once again because my curiosity overcame my frustration. I just have to limit the amount of time I mess around with it each session.

Thanks for the confirmation. I think your are right about the collision bubble around the player.
DTG probably didn't foresee players jumping off their trains, pulling pins, etc. for their seems to be no dead man's functionality being built in.

Perhaps little known, but CTRL + "0" is the escape key combination that should get you back in the driver's seat should you become stuck on the train.
