So we get Cumberland - Rockwood in this installment?

Rockwood, PA:
Code: Select all

is that a crew change point or any other kind of service terminal for through trains, or will the focus of operation be on those coal branches?

Thanks for the heads up. I'm wondering if the hump facility will be workable.

Rockwood's importance has changed over the history of the B&O/CSX timeframe. Today, Rockwood is nothing more than the junction between the mainline running from Cumberland to Connellsville and the S&C branch. No engine service, terminal or much of anything else, today. That's all at Connellsville. Until the 1960's, it was a much busier place. See this link for more information: http://mtnsub.org/keystone/
If you want to know more than you would ever want to know about Sand Patch, I recommend getting this book: https://www.amazon.com/Sand-Patch-Clash ... 0934118205

Nice article as always Gary. Those screenshots are really impressive. I wonder how my GTX 980 will perform. Rumors has it that GTX 1080 TI is just around the corner.. *!greengrin!*

The engine smoke still looks odd to me:

And will we finally get heat shimmer over the radiators?

That's because it is odd. Not a very good representation of diesel smoke.

The rest of the image still makes my heart beat faster, however. :D

I'm more concerned with how smooth it's going to run. It was very rough running during the Beta.
Things like grass were spawning just in front of the cab view as well.
New build. i7-7700k, MSI Z270 Gaming M5 Mobo, Hyper 212 Evo, Corsair DDR4 3200 Mhz RAM, Klipsch Pro Mediea 2.1 Speakers, Samsung 850 Evo SSD, HAF XM Case, Asus Strix GTX 1070 and Cooler Master Storm XT Keyboard.
