Thanks, these look great.

These are from TruRail and they are pretty nice and FREE.

You can request them on this model from TruRail on this here forum and someone might just paint them for free. TruRail is more co-operative about re-paints.

Compare with these for the Auran Trainz simulator platform:

What can be made for Trainz can be made for TS :D We're just getting started in 2021.

You cannot compare Trainz and Railworks.
Trainz is now better than Railworks when it comes to details and shading of the models. That is why this picture is not appropriate.
Whether you need it is another matter, quality depends a lot on the creator.
Railworks shows the better physical and railroad simulation in contrast to Trainz.
For me, the arguments in favor of Railworks clearly prevail.

I wasn't comparing the simulators, rather the content itself, with the intent/hope that keen eyed observers would see the prototypical detail and accuracy that are possible.

The picture is most appropriate to demonstrate the level of detail possible today, regardless of the train simulator.

The car posted was released as freeware to the community. The intent was to showcase that RRMods offers highly detailed, prototypical models for those who desire such, and not only on payware models.

This is true and was not in question here.

For me, Trainz has better operational capabilities and computing performance, while Railworks demonstrates better physics and aesthetics. Interestingly, Railworks is easier to produce content for.

I am just grateful for RR mods releasing such good stuff. Where it comes from and which simulator it was originally for is to me irrelevant. What matters to me is that it is now available for TS20xx. Thanks again and again.

RRMods seems to have found a broader market in TS.

Considering an autoflood III is already available, I see no point in doing another...But that's just me

Guido73... maybe you can convince the RRMods folks to finish up the as delivered SP GP40-2's for Train Simulator? And I'm glad to see some of the RRMods Trainz models getting ported over Train Simulator. Just one request though. Please go easy on the repaint policy. The initial policy of "no repaints allowed" scared off a large number of Train Simulator community members... including myself.
