It looks and sounds great but I can't get it to move. I cloned a scenario, replaced the locomotive with the GP40 and started the scenario up. Once in the scenario I turned on (flipped up) the gen field and engine runs switches. If I increase the throttle, the engine RPM's increase, but I don't move. I have released the train and independent brakes.

Thanks for any help.

Did you make sure the reverser was set to Forward?

Check that the isolation switch in indeed in "Run" and all three of the MU control switches (Engine Run, Gen Field, Control/Fuel Pump) are all the way in the up position.

Thanks I’ll check that today. Is there any specific order that needs to be done in?

And yes the reverser was set to forward.

There is a issue with the sounds not powering up. Was taking with Anthony last night about it.

I put the isolation switch in run first, then hit the other three switches in the up position and it's now moving.

I just spent an enjoyable hour switching out the Cheyenne refinery area, what a great locomotive! The excellent weathering looked right at home in that industrial environment. I dare say this is the best train simulator engine I've run.

Well done to everyone involved.

I really like this one. You need to set the isolation switch to move as well as the other mention switches. "I" on the keyboard. Make sure you have headlight flairs enabled in TS settings or you will not get headlights.

OK what am I doing wrong. When I start the sim and go into the cab it says 254 rpm on the HUD. If I tell it to shut down or start it just sits there at 254 rpm. Setting for start up. engine run up, fuel pump up gen field down. Run iso switch in iso. Engine brake on 20%. After a bit I can put it in forward and amp gauge goes up as you advance the throttle but rpm stays at 254.

Buzz try putting the reverser in forward first before doing anything else (such as performing a shutdown). There's a 2 second delay for the relays to ramp the engine up to 318rpm. After that throw all control, isolation switch(es).

Also the sounds do not power up. What is the cause for this?

Something is messed up. It doesn't shut down after the ten minutes. Just stays at 254rpm. Finally got it to shut down using the emergency switch. Reset everything and now it works.

The hotfix attached to my post will take care of any issue with the engine not ramping up. It will be later posted on RRMods' site as well.

Great work on these units! Most will find these a pleasant departure from what we normally get and will take a little getting used at first as they are not a generic load and drive type. These are a little more like what VRC put out but not as complicated however you still need to make sure the throttle and switches are in the right position in order to get them to move. I look forward seeing more work like this!

I love this locomotive! The sounds are spectacular and the model is fantastic.

I'm having a little trouble with the distance counter, though. The manual says it starts counting up with the key command SHIFT+Y, but I've only been able to get it to do that once. I did press the COMMUNICATIONS TEST/ARM button while the train was stopped.

Also, the wipers don't turn off as described in the manual (key binding SHIFT+CTRL+W).

You have to tap Shift + Y real quick to switch between the counter modes. Takes a little getting used to. As for the wipers, you are correct. I'll have a official fix issued later today but for the time being, the file attached to my post will take care of that problem. Simply let it overwrite the original file within the Railworks/Assets folder.
