Workshop Scenario left on the list after unsubscribe

Unread postby cnbalasub » Sun Jul 09, 2017 10:50 pm

I decided to unsubscribe some of the workshop scenarios as I had too many on Standard drive in TS 2017. I was surprised to see that the workshop scenarios left behind on the list even after unsubscribed in Community > Workshop which I uncheck the scenarios. Now how do I clear them in TS 2017 so the unsubscribed scenario will not show up on Standard drive in the program of TS 2017?

Click on "Build" on the main menu then select the "Scenario" tab at the top. Find the scenarios you want to delete, they should be under their specific route name. then when you've clicked the scenario it will highlight blue and there will be a delete option on the bottom right of the screen. It will ask if you're sure you want to delete and click yes. That should completely remove the scenario. !!*ok*!!

If what JohnS suggested does not work, try unsubscribing from the unwanted scenarios on the Workshop tab (Drive > Workshop). This is tedious because only one scenario at a time can be unsubscribed, but it is the surest method I know.

Tom -- I did try this method and doesn't work so I went ahead with John's suggestion to unsubscribe. What happen with this is when I click to unsubscribe a scenario in Workshop and but the name of scenario left there on Workshop list.

Thanks,

John

Unsubscribing doesn't always work.
On occasion, there seems to be a "corrupt" download process from Steam to TS where it "compresses" several scenario file into one large file (but which is still seen by TS and Windows and RWTools as separate files) and although you unsubscribe they may not be able to be deleted. In RW_Tools it has taken me up to 20+ attempts to delete one of these conglomerate "scenario" files.
To be sure
Unsubscribe in STEAM (NOT TS) - close steam and TS 2017 and delete all files that you don't want to keep in this folder DRIVE:\STEAM\steamapps\workshop\content\24010 OR use RW_TOOLS and delete all unwanted WS scenarios (colour coded) (bulk delete for EACH route works).
