Opening animation crashed the game, my graphics card ( a GTX 1070 sea hawk w/6 gigs ddr5 mem ) shot up to 60 degrees ( should be between 35 - 47 ). CPU is AMD Phenom II X6 1090T running at 3.1 Ghz and there's 16 gig of ddr3 ram on the board. Once i was in the game, just getting to an engine was an adventure in slideshows. Game hung every couple seconds and it was impossible to use.. I'm disappointed.. I'll most likely switch to Railz instead of going with TSW when it comes out. It seems obvious that DTG doesnt care about the game at all..
Addendum: I just ran Cache validation on the game and over 3000 files failed and need to re-download.. Its my opinion that somewhere in the supply chain, someone is screwing up royally.

I myself noticed much clearer graphics. A wee bit sharper images, actual leaves on trees showing veins. Possibly RW is catering to Nvidia cards at long last. Not better FPS, but a very precise train drive-by enhancement. No complaint from this dude.
P.S I use a GTX 970 PCI Express 3.0 and loving it.

I have been told I am a jerk and have various other mental disorders from my comment this morning. I apologize if I offended.

I thought that was a little extreme when no one else has reported any issue so I might have spoken out of turn. If so please forgive.

Pam, I had the problem when I first reloaded TS2016. I did the Cache Validation thing and the same thing had to be done. Things have worked fine since but shortly after I had to have my cable modem replaced because it was having packet issues. All I could think looking back was that due to the length of the download, that was what caused the issues. I remember being frustrated at the time since I was just getting back into TS2016 after being away for a long time. Since a lot of folks aren't expressing the same problem, I'd say it was more likely something like mine and there were transmission errors or even write errors that caused the issues. Then again, it may not have been, just saying. Glad things got worked out for you.
the 970 is an awesome card.. I chose the seahawk because it has water cooling and an application suite that allowed me to underclock the gpu by five percent giving me greater longevity and cooler running temps ( which i did just an hour ago )..dejoh wrote:Well, as I well know everybody's operating system is different, some have their video cards clocked and tweaked to the absolute max, others let the game card do its best.
