Photos from DTM Facebook page. Very promising and a much needed addition to the TS collection. Thanks DTM for this!

Looks like Jerry's (VRC) U-boat he was working on before he closed up shop? If memory serves, a U34CH is basically a U36C but with HEP. So... perhaps DTM has Santa Fe U36C planned for the future? Would go great with their SD45-2 on Tom's Cajon route. In the meantime, looking forward this release. Thanks DTM!

Nope. Motor-cycle headlight lenses give it away. Not to mention the trucks, the alpha channel, and the high-contrasted paint job. Jerry tended t have much bolder & darker paint jobs. There's a few other nooks & crannies out there I can point out that set Jerry's work apart from DTM's. If only VRC were still around...

Nonetheless, about time we get some Comet I's. :D

Creators come and go. What one leaves behind, another will finish in it's own time. It is the way of things, the way of the Rail.

It's good to see the 34CH finally come to fruition.

We may get lucky as there is a boat load of interest in the Comet II, which the Horizon is based on. I went through time and expense to get the Pullman Standard Coach specifications for 1971-73 EL-NJDot version, which is not the 1988 Comet II. Question, and to confirm, is there an Amtack cab car for push pull service? If it's ok with you guys, can we get the Comet I, done first? Thanks a bunch.

A Comet II would be nice to include as well, although a high-door Comet I trailer model can sometimes pass off as a II. And no Amtrak did not use Comet cab cars. The I trailers could be excellent stand-ins for rebuilt Comet IIMs and even Shoreliner Is and IIs as well, something that has been long missing since we got them a couple years ago.

The only real cabcars Amtrak has are the Amfleet cabcars rebuilt from Metroliners. They had some old SPV2000s that for a couple years were also used as cabcars but they're all sold off/scrapped now.
