Scenario Editor Context Menu Missing?

Unread postby Truemac » Fri Sep 09, 2016 8:09 pm

Hello, first I want to say thank you for accepting me into the forums.

I registered mainly to ask about a peculiar problem I've started having with TS2016. When I go into the scenario editor, the context menus on the top-right of the screen no longer show up. No amount of single or double-clicking seems to change that. I haven't installed anything recently that I think would have an effect on this, and the problem wasn't fixed even after verifying the game cache. This is rather annoying because I can't change the properties or running numbers of rolling stock, and that limits a lot of my options for custom scenarios.

Is it possible I'm missing something very obvious?

Any help appreciated, thanks.

Sorry if you know this but open the middle flyout on the left and double click the blue square with the yellow triangle. Then click the grey bar on the right. You can pin it open with the little pin. Then click on your rolling stock or locos.

That menu shows up just fine, but I cannot get the menu for changing things like engine running numbers or driver details to show up no matter how much I click.

Double click on the loco itself and the righthand flyout will change to the one you want. For drive details double click the driver icon on top of the loco that you assigned.

I'm aware of how to get the context menu to pop up in normal context, but for whatever reason, it just stopped showing up.

Is there a hotkey that hides these context menus that I might've pressed accidentally? I checked the keyboard controls and couldn't find anything, but it's possible I might've skipped over it. Or it's just one of those hidden key commands.

Hi,
Do you mean the "Timetable Edit" function? The one where you see the small 2D map, the task list, and can set up your services' tasks? You can still access it by clicking the little white/red clock-like icon on the upper-left panel, it still works as before here on my TS17.

I'm not aware of any hotkeys or otherwise hidden settings that would change how the menus and panels can be accessed. Did you install anything that changes the menus somehow, if such a mod even exists for this game?

Cheers
Michael
