I'm trying to fix the reversed switch stand colours on Donner Pass but can find only one instance of DP_manualjunction.TgPcDx in my Assets folder. This file is in MariasPass\RailNetwork\Junctions\textures folder only. Anyone know how to fix Donner? !DUH!

The ReadMe for that download states "The correct location for the file is in the "...\Assets\RSC\DonnerPass\RailNetwork\Junctions\textures" directory.
The only files in the DonnerPass folder are Blueprints.pak and DonnerPassAssets.ap and no sub-folders. **!!bang!!**

You need to open the .ap using 7zip or some such and at least extract the folder where that file is. TS reads things outside of the .ap first which is a compressed folder then then looks in there for content.

Thanks for your help buzz456 *!!thnx!!* . I figured that out last night when I followed an instruction to install a re-skin. I extracted DonnerPassAssets.ap dated 06/05/2014 @ 1,306,789 KB with WinZip 17.5 and replaced DP_manualjunction.TgPcDx in the "...\Assets\RSC\DonnerPass\RailNetwork\Junctions\textures" directory.
I deleted Blueprints.pak and selected all the files and folders in the DonnerPass folder, except "DonnerPassAssets.ap.Original", and created DonnerPassAssets.zip with normal compression @ 611,184 KB.
Then I moved the new .zip file from the RSC folder to the DonnerPass folder and renamed the .zip extension to .ap
I deleted all the extracted material to the recycle bin, just in case, even though I also backed up the extracted material to my "Local Backup" drive.
A test of the route in Train Simulator 2016 was a complete success including no reduction in frame rates. !*brav*!

Hi

After all these years you would think that 'they' would have corrected this old error.

Glad to see the modified file I posted is still getting used :-)

I use WinRAR to play with .ap files, it's just a drag and drop to replace a file, a bit easier but perhaps also a bit more risk as well.
