Coal Loader

Unread postby sleepyto » Sat Feb 28, 2009 2:28 pm

Okay gang my first dumb question.
I know that the coal cars will fill up with coal after pressing the T key while under the coal loader.
My question is: Is there suppose to be coal dropping from the loader? Seems like I remember this happening at one time but I am not sure.

Hi Sleepyto

There is certainly an animation of falling coal when replenishing the tender on the default Bath - Templecombe route. There is also ones of the level inside the HAA hopper droping as it performs a bottom discharge on the Oxford - Padington. I cant check the Cayjon pass route at this moment but I do seem to recall seeing the hoppers fill.(its how I know its finished filling).

Hi Vmb2:
Yes you can see the hoppers filling up in the Oro Grande scenario but nothing coming out of the loader itself.
What scenario did you see the coal coming out of the loader in.
Thanks
John

In the "Delivery Day" scenario on the Bath to Templecombe route at the beginning of the scenario you have to fill up the tender at the loader on the next track, it has a visual coal loading function. So it is possible but obviously it depends on the modeller incorporating that function into the model.

Thanks for the replys.

Hi, I am Victor !!howdy!! and I am new to this forum. I have few questions about the default coal loader. Under what name can I find it in the route editor, because I can't seem to find it, and can it load woodchips into the woodchip gondola that comes with the Dash-9 pack? Thanks. Sorry for the mistakes, if any, but English is not my native language *!embar*!

hi victor, welcome! you can find it under signals in the editor under the name of "coal loader" i am not shure about the woodchips from the coal tower but there is a woodchip loader avalable to download. P.S. to everyone all of the coal loaders that i have work with animated coal loading, even on the Cajon Pass Route.

There should be coal falling out of it if you have your settings high. On mine it does. And I have the default one.
