Are there better coupling sounds?

Unread postby 5292nate » Fri Jun 21, 2013 10:20 pm

Hi guys. Maybe I'm missing it, but are there ANY real coupling sounds for RW? These default ones have gotten to me for the last time! Ones that sound real, like this.

Or this.

Or this.

Thanks guys! !*salute*!

Aren't there some in the file library under sounds? Just for coupling though.

Yes, but the install is tricky for me. !*don-know!* Idk why. Some of my cars have them and some don't.

The one's that come with J Cornell's GP38 sound real good. They are in the "Assets\JCornell\EMD\Audio\RailNetwork\Coupling" folder if you have that engine. I use them for many other coupling sounds.

I use this. They're extremely realistic. http://railworksamerica.com/index.php/d ... =25:sounds

Is there any way to make the coupler sounds global or do you have to install them in everything? !**conf**!

Its all a matter of how you couple in real life......

I've had a couple of times where I've coupled the 9 into the train with a bang....and others where all you here is the pin dropping. Coupling does not always have to be a hard smash...and frankly, thats something this simulator will never accomplish. It can't tell the different between half a mile an hour and a perfect application of the brakes, or 2 miles per hour and late braking (whats shown in your videos)
