Hi guys.
Ive been thinking, yup my head hurts

Fact is, so many have left us,

But hey, dont forget, alot of new folks have joined us

Im sure there are far more routebuilders and content builders out there. Why not let your work be known with the rest of us ? Are you going the fictional way or the prototypical way? Payware or freeware ? Let this be more of an informative thread rather than a discussion ! There are so many different threads on who is doing what, lets concentrate that information here.
Not a screenshots thread please, if you have screenshots of your work then excellent ! Please include a link to the thread that contains your work in progress ( if you have one )..
Lets see what is being created by the many simmers out there, please join in ! ( Note, thread will be online for a while, if there are no takers I will ask papa to get rid of it )
So, railworks veterans from a far and all you new guys, please join in and let us know what you are all up to
I will start.

100 miles or so from Durham to Darlington via Bishop Auckland/Barnard Castle/Crook and Wearhead set in about 1953, but I am relaxed about the time frame, I just wanted a nice network (thanks bob).

I'm still working on my Montour route. The Montour was a coal hauling railroad here in Southwestern Pennsylvania. The majority of the Mines served by the Montour Railroad were owned by CONSOL. The route also contains very small portions of the P&LE mainline in Coraopolis, PA. The Panhandle route of the PRR/PC/CR railroads at McDonald, PA, the P&WV/N&W/W&LE railroads at both George, PA and Salida, PA, The Chartiers Secondary / Washington Secondary of the PRR/PC/CR/P&OC at Hills Station, PA, the B&O railroad at Snowden, PA and the Union Railroad at West Mifflin, PA. Once the Montour is complete, my next phase will be the P&WV railroad between Connellsville, PA and Pittsburgh Jct, OH. If I'm able to finish the P&WV, the third phase will be the Panhandle between Mingo Jct. OH and Scully Yard, Carnegie, PA. A current beta version of the route is in the Railworks America file library.
Regards,
Rich S.

Route: Canadian Pacific Watertown Subdivision
To and From: Milwaukee, WI - Portage, WI
Length: About 100 Miles
Progress: Track 35%, Scenery 9% (Currently on hold until April)
Info: Prototypical Route based in 2011-2012. Former Milwaukee Road then SOO, now under E.H.H. and his slimmed down, GE packed Canadian Pacific.
Link:
http://railworksamerica.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=6788Route: Aspinwall Railway (Previously Unannounced)
To and From: Granville - Aspinwall - North Rock
Length: 13 Miles
Progress: Track: 90%, Scenery 12%
Info: Freelance Shortline. A small island route based (very) loosely off of Madeline Island, WI (if it were to have a railroad on it!). Main freight is coal from the mainland, to fuel the small coal power plant that provides electricity to the island. Some lumber business, a couple of carloads a week from a small factory, and the occasional tank of aviation fuel. This is the route that my last few posts in "Any Route, Any Era" have been from. Has been kind of a pet project, and the size makes it more like a model railway than a real route, but that's not to say it doesn't have depth, a coal run (8 miles from dock to dump) can take almost an hour. No payware used so far, and I'd like to keep it that way.

Route: Caldwell County Railroad.
Stage 1: NS interchange, Hickory NC to Sealed Air, Valmead & CHH Pulp Mill, Lenoir.
Stage2: Salisbury NC including the North Carolina Transportation Museam via the Southern Loops at Old Ford NC to Ashville NC.
Surprise: Comes with stage 2... but you'll have to find it in freeroam.
Length: Stage 1: Roughly 25 miles, Stage 2: No idea. Fairly long! Stage 3: Really short!
Prototypical: 1/9 arc terrain data, RW decals, Google satellite & street View, Railpictures.com, Joey Bowman photographer from Hickory NC, and the crew from Caldwell County Railroad.
Progress: Stage 1: Track 99%, Scenery 5%, Stage 2: Track 1%, Scenery 1% Surprise: Track 0%, scenery 0%
History: Stage1: The Caldwell County Railroad was started in 1994 when the Caldwell County Economic Development Commission bought the line from NS. The line was once a narrow gauge railroad, The Chester & Lenoir, hauling lumber out of the mountainous forests north of Lenoir. The line was converted to standard gauge in the early 1900's and became the Carolina & North Western, eventually absorbed into Southern. The line was truncated in 2007 due to Google building a server farm adjacent to the track in Lenoir, ironic for me since I used Google extensively to help create the route! Stage 2: Known as the S-Line, a secondary mainline of the Norfolk Southern, runs between Morristown, Tennessee and Salisbury, North Carolina. Not sure on the history of the line yet but this is getting boring so... moving on. Surpise: Let's just say it's really old AND really young.
Operations: Set in 2015. The Caldwell County Economic Development Commission has generated a boom in the local furniture industry with tax incentives and financial aid and the new CHH pulp mill has resulted in investment in the line from NS and solid a solid revenue earner for them. Also they reminded Google that they're not God and reopened the line past the server farm.
CCRY - Typical shortline switching the length of the line from NS interchange in Hickory. Lenoir chapter of NRHS - Restaurant/Picnic train operationg out of Lenoir to an area north of Valmead hauled by restored C&NW RS-11. Norfolk Southern - 8 times daily 30-35 car trains & occasional wood chipper + chemical cars to/from CHH pulp mill in Lenoir. Not telling the name of the operator in the surpise because it will give it away but let's just say that they operate in circles.

Route: NS/Conrail Lititz Secondary and Lancaster Area
Length: Lititz Secondary 14 miles, Columbia Secondary and part of the Keystone Corridor also covered approx 30-40 miles.
Prototypical: DEM, RwDecal, Bing birds eye, photos and you-tube used. Modern day and early 80s versions.
Completion: Dillerville Yard to Lititz track 100%. Scenery 50%. Columbia Secondary Track 50%. Scenery 0%. Lancaster Station to Elizebethtown track 100% Scenery 10%.
The route uses a mix of DLC and 3rd party content with Scalerail track and uktrainsim textures used.
I should hopefully get a beta released by the summer.
I'm making two versions of the route as I want to build a modern branch but I also want to model the area when I visited it as a wee boy chasing the Conrail geep with my dad.
Pictures to follow.
Route: Part CP mountain and Laggan Subs
Length: About 100+ miles
Prototypical: DEM, RwDecal, Google Earth Street View, pictures and you-tube used. 90s to modern day.
Completion: Field to Golden track 75% scenery 5%. Field to Banff via Spirral Tunnels track 40% scenery 0%.
This is my back up route I started when I had problems with my other one.
I keep adding to it now and again but it is a long long way from release.

Route: 3 Rivers
Area: Using Pittsburgh DEM from an old RWA community project.
Type: Fictional
3 shortlines, lots of industries and passenger station and about 200 miles of track due to the way things run.
Major track is laid out, several small areas are being worked on. The 3 rivers have water in them. 40 bridges uses so far. Towns have been named.
Worked stopped for a bit while I got the RWA transferred over to my server and a few sad things happened in my life and since the world is still here, 2013 will renew construction on it. I have 3 other people working it with me at this time.
