Yes, Donner Pass was updated. However, all freeroam scenarios failed. Can not find rail cars. There is NO HUD of any type even on standard scenarios. Will try a verify,

I would try just clearing the cache first, just in case.

Just a little note here, make sure to verify your game cache when you get the download. A few others and me as well have missing mid-long distance tree's for the mountain tops and such. Just a tip. !!*ok*!!

I can actually imagine it will the case, especially this evening. Packets will be getting lost left, right and centre due to the sheer volume because of the sale.

I had about 15 minutes to check it out with a few free roams:

The first impressions are

Good news is:

The route is ABSOLUTELY beautiful! Really, really environmentally accurate. **!!bow!!** Its unreal!
The route still runs well (for me) - framerate wise. I'm really blown away! !!*ok*!!
The gradient transitions are much, much better. They're smooth now.
The time-of-day files are much better. Color and lighting is outstanding.

The bad news (more appropriately, the "baffling news"):

The switch stands are still wrong! Huh?
Many of the curves (at least out of Truckee) still have very rough/awkward transitions into curves. The superelevation has been toned down, but its still rough going in and out of it.
The sound on the locomotives (at least the SD40s) is in dire need of an upgrade (esp. the horn). Time to reinstall the Simer4 mods.
The couplers on the Autorack cars are down below the railheads and disappear depending on the view.

I suppose I will need to verify cache if others cant replicate these issues.

Overall, i'm not complaining! Just some things that make you scratch your head...the switch stands take all of 5 minutes to correct, and are rather important, for example.

What are the switch stands supposed to be?

At least there moved from the center of the track, to the side of the switch in Roseville Yard.
Thanks RW. !!*ok*!!

Verified, 4 files updated. Cleared cache. Now have rail cars but NO HUD's even on Sherman Hill. Game not playable. Also, F2 will not appear to save game.
EDIT: Found it in the options menu ( HUD selection). No functions keys now work. Saving the scenario now thru the pause control. Would have been nice if RSC had mentions this.

That second item is extremely good news! Where are those "news file reports", Bob? !*brav*!

After you download the patch it has two links under it. One of them is NEWS and that takes you to the report, if they made one. They do not always make them after an update.
