F1 display in scenario TS2013

Gents,
When running standard scenarios in TS2013 under the F1 display the job order is on the left side but on the right side are tabs to click but I never see them enabled. Are these tabs supposed to be used?

They are for the Xbox controller

Theyare for setting switches when your near one or your path is going that way and the other (phone) are for requesting permission to pass a red. Both sets are for a front or back operation. Switch in front or switch behind you. If we are talking about the same things.

Ok, I see. I have my xbox controller hooked up but found it isnt as good as I like it but when you hit a bump you feel it in the controller. I will have to pay closer attention to it.
