What would be a nice addition to RWA

What we really need here is a area in the uploads where a person can like and leave a comment on the items over here at RailworksAmerica like they have over at UKtrainsim.

That also helps find out what people think of your uploads and how many like it, so a modeler no longer feels like they're doing all that work for nothing.

I think something like this would defiantly be handy and useful, it will allow modelers to know what people think of their work. And also a good way to find out about any problems might exist in a model and needs to be fixed.

I agree.

I try reply to comments left for me re: any errors in scenarios I've made and uploaded but sometimes these aren't approved for some hours, in which time folk have either moved on and written off the scenario or unable to get a decent conversation together with the means to try help fix the problem.
I can understand that some comments need to be approved by moderators on the other site but after a time if a member is a frequent user and is recognized as a human without a nasty agenda and not a bot in the section stating - "Please note: Your comment will be subject to moderator approval before it is published to the site. This is to prevent 'bots' and other nasty things spamming the forums. Once the moderators have ascertained you're a real person without a nasty agenda, which will happen after a few comments (or forum posts), you will be granted the ability to post comments immediately and bypass this process.".

I completely agree with the policy and am not by any means putting down the other site, I have commented many many times on the downloads pages and a handful of comments on the forums and have been a member for over a year and have been very happy with the site but still with no means to reply swiftly, all I want to do is help folk who have queries or reply to any comments quicker than the once or twice a day that comments get approved.

Something on the forums or a comments box in the downloads section would be welcome for a swifter way to reply to the people trying out our uploads.

Thanks for listening :) **!!2cents!!**

The way phpBB forums are set up is you have to make 2 posts that get approved then after that you are free from it. Someone may not be very quick or notice you need a post approved. That happens to me a lot. I get so busy that I do not realize there is a post that needs approved. Ask Marc, I missed one of his for like 8 months. *!embar*!

*!!thnx!!* artimrj.

I could have sworn I had posted more in those forums, at least 5 or 6 times but I shall try find something to say somewhere I suppose and see if that sorts me out. *!embar*!

I understand Papa. :D

I'm sorry Artimrj, I should have clarified that in my 1st post, I was meaning the UKTS forums and download site :)
I paid for the unlimited downloads and like to upload the odd scenario here or there, I suppose I just find it frustrating it takes a while for the uploader to reply to person who's commented and vice-versa with regards to any errors/problems/praise etc. other than that I find it fantastic *!greengrin!*
I suppose it's also because I just want to help with fixing any problems encountered as I am trying to build myself a portfolio and so far I'm doing ok, well with scenarios anyways, haha!

I should really get round to uploading my scenarios here as well, :D

Nah I don't think so. He is a nice guy. UKTS does use phpBB, never realized it actually. I know ts.comuses something else.
