reading the fine print ...

Some of you probably know this already, but I just discovered it: scenarios submitted for upload to Steam Workshop will be rejected if they contain any asset that is not sold by RSC. Evidently, that eliminates all repaints. I'm certainly glad that RWA does not impose such restrictions!

That's actually fine in my opinion it saves people from hunting the content down.

That is why when you upload to the workshop you only use default assets to the "ROUTE" not the "GAME"

If your talking to me since I cant tell because of the double quote in your quote. I am not missing the concept. I wrote 5 of the Pioneer Scenarios that started the workshop. We wrote some of them using 1 route and it's assets, then they let use use more DLC. It is all DLC. Everthing is in one spot is the concept. Much like I do at the NERW. Our scenarios only use our equipment from "in house". I only used 4 pieces of DLC for repaints with the intention of keeping it free as possible. The workshop is the other way around, only the scenario is free, to use it you have to buy/own something. On the positive side, you get to do something with the stuff you bought.

Sorry about the double quote it was not aimed at anybody but just to emphasis the word. Sorry if I offended anybody that was not my intent. I seem to be saying the wrong things lately and I guess it is time for me to just keep my comments to myself and bug out.

I was referring to b737's double quote, the one where he is quoting me and I am quoting someone else. I am in no way offended by anyone. Just trying to explain myself and soften the situation a little.

Oh OK !DUH! Thought it was about my double quote and was only saying it should be that way not the way it was. I wrote one scenario in the pilot program and did not know they changed to allow the other dlc. But ola. I have tried to help peple and have been slammed and insulted for my efforts. And with the way everything is right now with everybody on edge I am just leery about saying anything to anyone right now

For the Steam Workshop, that is true, but I don't think it's about money. It's so anyone that downloads scenarios from the Steam Workshop doesn't have to go find 3rd party stuff to get the scenario to run.

Yes like what Hawk said. Or "they have to buy them, instead of searching the internet for them" that better? I said nothing about RSC getting all the money. Those are not my words.

So here'e my question. Is the workshop only for scenerios or can you submit repaints and other assets as well? I play Skyrim also and it's workshop is chock full of add ons and changes to the game. So if you can upload repaints to the workshop that should work?

Currently the Steam-Workshop only allows Scenarios to be uploaded, and only from a limited choice of specific official DLC routes & trainsets that could be used on them.

That would make sense. RSC routes, RSC rolling stock and User scenarios for both.
Bob,
What scenarios did you make?
