Is there anyway to buy the route without buying TS2013? I can't seem to find it on the RW Steam Store.

Nope, it is a default route and not sold separately so far.

Here is the store page, you'll have to pay full price.

Are you sure about that?
Because I saw independent prices for buying them separate at the additional package info.

There is another post about this here somewhere, SH is available seperatly, but it's still $29.95. Might as well get the extra routes for the same price.

Found it: http://store.steampowered.com/app/208286/ Oops, Kanawha already linked to that !**duh*!!

I'd written in another thread that I'd bought Sherman Hill separately the day after the update came. I did it whilst still in the game by clicking on the shopping basket. It then takes you to the Steam Store where you make your purchase as normal, and there is a link you can click (like what's in Workshop) that takes you back to the game. I paid full whack for it - £19.99 so I've probably got more money than sense, but the point is, SH can be bought separately *!!wink!!*

So, where's your gain? A full 2013 fresh install sets you back exactly the same amount of cash! What you don't get by buying SH only are all the goodies that the other 'new' stuff contains. Suppose there's a new freeware or payware route you fancy, you get it and and it goes SBHH on you because it turns out that it relies on some stock 2013 content that you don't have?
Here's what I did; backed up my entire 2012 install, uninstalled 2012 without deleting any of the files in the railworks folder, bought the full 2013 and kept the Steam connection open for 24 hours (Italy has the worst bandwidth in the civilized world, I'm charged for 7Gb download speed, I get 0.105 at the most). Everything installed well, ran from the first go with no glitches apart from some missing assets in some routes/scenarios since RSC decided they had to go somewhere else. Easy to correct albeit a lot of work depending on how many routes/scenarios are affected. All my add-ons are right there where they used to be!

Yes, I quite agree, but that wasn't what the initial question - whether you can buy the route separately - and I was making the point that yes you can. I've already got 78 gb of Railworks related stuff, and some of the stuff in the bundle I already had, the other stuff I didn't want. Yes I paid OTT for it in comparison to the bundle, which I admitted to, but I answered a question.

Apart from having to re-install some third party add ons (which is normal after an update) everything works fine for me too apart from the gremlins which everyone else is getting, i.e. some the official DLC not showing etc.

Sherman Hill will be available as a standalone Expansion pack on the 10th October 2012 at the regular retail price for routes or if you want it now you can pick it up as part of Train Simulator 2013 from our Steam store at a special price for a limited time. Click this link to find out more.
