Little more exploring and in the Sherman hIll/railvehicles/freight folder is a new script file. Looking in it, it seems to be set up to pass information through the cars to the end of the train. I am guessing that is how it knows which car to turn the EOTD on.

Good find, Bob. I haven't progressed that far into each and every folder. A pass consist message sort of script probably.
They forgot the SH Caboose, its tail light still doesn't light up and no EOT either for that matter.
With a little more consideration, RSC could have connected the EOT's air hose to the Britkits coupler with brake hose animation.

I would think that since they can make the engine's brake hoses tie together that it wouldn't be too difficult to have the EOT tie into the final car's hose as well.

Exactly, but RSC probably doesn't know about the Brikits replacement couplers. Despite the probably many complaints about their own coupler's inexcuseable bad physics.
The new ES44 comes with new couplers, which have brake hoses that don't fit the Britkits, so I have swapped all buckeyes for Britkits in every piece of rolling stock.

Hi Kanawha
Is PapaXpress's 'Buckeye Coupler and Air hoses' animation mod that I found on Britkits website very hard to install in Railworks? I found an animated video that really looks neat. The ReadMe install instructions are a little confusing. And does one need to modify every single piece of rolling stock in the assets collection with this mod or is it universally applied?

Huh?
I have yet to make any animations or couplers. Are you certain that you are not getting confused with the couplers that Britkits is offering?

Sorry but thanks for correcting me. I read your name in the Britkits ReadMe for the 'Buckeye Coupler' mod and thought you were the designer. I should have credited DickyJim.

I successfully installed the Britkits 'Replacement Buckeye' couplers for both the Kuju provider's directory into \RailSimulatorUS\RailVehicles\Couplings\Buckeye\ folder and also for each of my DLC Routes and DLC Loco Packs folders in RSC provider's directory into \RailVehicles\Coulplings\Buckeye\ folder by following the instructions bundled by DickyJim in his ReadMe file.
I tested the 'Replacement Buckeye' couplers and brake hoses action in the HorseShoe Curve "Early Moring Switching" scenario. The brake hoses do indeed make up when the rolling stock is coupled up as advertised. But I was surprised to observe that the old brake hoses are still in place dangling down from the car ends. The new hoses are animated to connect up when hitching the Geep to the freight car string and also between each and every hitched freight car of the string. The old hoses are not animated at all.
