RW-Tools for TS2013 Avaliable

Unread postby ArcticCatZRT » Tue Sep 25, 2012 3:44 pm

RW-Tool was updated the other day for TS2013. I know some people are wondering about how to create Quick Drive consists, and now RW-Tools has the ability to make and add them to the game. I was actually looking into how to make the consists when I bumped into this update.

I do not know about other updates to the tool that were made, I just know about the quick drive one.

!*cheers*!

That's a feature I really wish we had in game and didn't have to rely on an external utility to do.
...But I suppose Quick Drive is at least a start in the right direction.

I do agree! It would havd been nice to make custom consists. To be fair, a person needed to do the samething with MSTS when they had a similar thing to quick drive. !!*ok*!!

The new version isn't on Mike's regular RW_Tools page yet, but here's the URL for it, which I got by clicking on Check for Newer Version on the Help tab: http://www.rstools.info/rw_version.html.

Mike's new help file begins with instructions for setting up Quick Drive consists --- caveat emptor this is a very complicated process!

It really isn't bad at all, once you get the folder setup and the index made. It actually goes pretty quick. It takes me about five minutes give or take to make a new QD consits now. Much easier then trying to mess with blueprints, and bins to achieve the same result.
