Buying Sherman Hill..

Unread postby steamman » Sat Sep 22, 2012 1:35 am

Can you not buy just Sherman Hill?? Whether I go into Steam itself or via the RW (or whatever its called now) home page All I see is some package for 2013 which includes some other routes and Sherman Hill.. I either have the other routes or have no interest in them, and I already have2013 and don't want to DL it again. All I want is Sherman Hill...

Hi Steamman
I bought it separately with no problems from within the game. I just added it to my cart and it takes you to the Steam page where you just go ahead in the same old way. Hope this helps *!!wink!!*

The page you listed is for the package deal. If you look at package contents Sherman Hill has its price as "N/A". This indicates to me that it is not available as a seperate item.

What are you expecting to pay for Sherman Hill by itself? I would say that $29.99 is about the least a route costs. If it won't let you buy it, that's one thing, but if you buy the package deal for $29.99 and get Sherman Hill and some other stuff, how is that not getting Sherman Hill? It won't download anything you already have. You don't have to drive the other routes. You may find you like them, though.

This is what I plan on doing. Getting Sherman Hill AND London to Brighton for $29.99 is a steal

Or you can wait until SH is sold separately and is on sale at a cheap price, but it is a risk as RSC has never said this will happen.
If it doesn't, you can wait until TS2013 goes on sale. I've bought a TS2012 at around 3$ last year, this could happen with 2013.

You might want to read my previous post again.
Especially the word "sale".
Very often you can grab the DLC you want at a 75% sale price.
Actually I bought most of my DLC at 50% or 75%.

In a simpler way, I'm waiting to get Sherman Hill at under 10$.

Never say never. I've purchased several items at 75% off and a few at 90%.

Purchased RW2013 tonight and got Sherman Hill and LtoB (already had NEC). Thats 2 very very good routes and countless hours of gameplay for $15 a piece. Its a win/win for me.

Don't worry about. They've had christmas sale every year. I'm planning to buy only for discounted price for the reason RSC products are always much weaker than 3rd party developers ones.

I just tried to purchase the package deal (4 Routes) from this link, http://store.steampowered.com/app/208286/, posted by Robbit, but after I entered all my CC info, I got a message saying that I had the contents of this package already installed in my RW2013 Update. I do not have any of these routes. I'm totally confused now. Seeking some help.

Thanks

The linked page indicates that it's only for the Sherman Hill route, or am I overlooking something?
Cheers!

When brought to that page, it says in an info box that there are 5 items in the package, RW2013 and the 4 routes. Seeing that I already have RW2013, but none of the routes, maybe their statement telling me that I will not be receiving all the contents of the package (because I already have RW2013) is referencing that I won't get another copy of RW2013, but that I will get the 4 routes. Does that sound plausible?
