Some guidance needed..

Unread postby PamBrooker » Sun Aug 12, 2012 2:46 am

I've been working on Jerry Cornells GP-38-2 tonight, painting it up in rock island colors. Well, thats all well and good and the paint is off to a good start, but i've run into a little problem.. The engine loads into the scenario without a problem, but once its been placed, I cant put a driver in it, i cant select it, move it, nothing.. Its there and thats it.. I thought perhaps the texture itslf was the cause, so i copied it over to another of the liveries to test it out. it works flawlessly. I can select it, deselt it, place it and delete it. But i cant do anything with the original paint i was working on earlier.. Could someone give me an idea of where to start troubleshooting this?? I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks
Pam

Sounds like a problem with the .bin file.

Do you have Kuju US enabled? MadMike updated the model the best he could for TS2012.

Yes, Kuju is enabled.. But its the old model. I didnt know there was an update.. shame on me for not doing my homework *!embar*! .
My suspicion is that its in the bin file. I'm not very good at editing them and some times i dont put in enough, and sometimes, too much.. I'll see if i can find Mad Mikes update and pull the textures over to it.. maybe use a different variation for a base i9nstead of the main file. at least until i get to know bin files better.. ok, thanks guys.. off i go.. maybe i'll do better today than i did ysterday *!greengrin!* right after coffee ::LOL::
