Settle to Carlisle

A small simple thing but I would like to know how to pronunce Settle.

Hmm, just the same way one would pronounce kettle, or, metal, although that's spelt differently of course.

(came first in the Mrs Sunderland competition)
The narrator in the sound byte satys the word "settle' in the last line, ie Tha'll ev ter cough up an' settle t' bill.
That "settle" would be similar to SETTLE the village.
