Navigating in World (External) View?

Unread postby lsheppard » Sat Jul 28, 2012 1:09 am

OK, I've figured out how to move around in external view using the keyboard arrow keys. Forward, back, left, right, up, down -- but, I still haven't been able to find a key combination to rotate or tilt. I always have to use the mouse. Is there any way to ROTATE, or TILT in world view using the keyboard?

Re: Navigating in External Camera View - View 8

I couldn't find anything in the Quick Reference Guide about TILT and ROTATE in view 8. I tried CTRL-LEFT and CTRL-RIGHT on my keyboard, but they simply move me left and right, the same as without the CTRL key. I am running TS-2012 on a laptop. Perhaps it is my keyboard mapping that does not work exactly the same as a desktop computer?

The only way I have found to rotate in View 8 is to hold down my right mouse button while moving the mouse. The mouse works great for rotating and tilting, but then I seem to have to go back to the keyboard to move left or right, or back or forward. I just wondering if there is away to either avoid the mouse altogether, or avoid the keyboard altogether when navigating in this particular view?

That is correct ctrl up/down is raise/lower the camera, I though that is what you wanted, sorry. There is no keyboard setting to tilt or rotate to my knowledge. I always use the mouse for that.
