Strike now or wait till the super offer of 75% off?
Demand is already very high that Steam is having hickups.
Anyways, I'll get me some nice UK routes.
Since I already have most of the US DLC which interest me, when some lesser desirable DLC gets a 75% off I'll snatch it.

Do we know what trend they use for the 75% items, or should i say do they lean toward routes or rolling stock when chosing 75% off of an item in the past?
I have a list here just like everyone else im just tempted to get the lot in one go so i can vanish for a week or 2 and leave everone in peace

Since I just picked up the sim I want it all! *drool* But, I will build up my US DLC's first. I did get the game with the Haulin' USA pack so I put a partial dent in it. By the way, what are the trends that Steam/RSC use?

It seems pretty random to me. Many websites and observers make a sport of predicting sales and discounts. The summer sale lasts till July 22.
I remember in 2010 there was one day of 75% off everything. In 2011 there was no such day IIRC.
My advice is to put everything you want in your wishlist and check two times dialy for the best offers. Steam usually repeates or cycles some offers more, while others are pretty rare or only last for 8 hours. You can now vote for 8 hour offers even.
Usually franchise packs get the largest discount but you have to value your options in buying lots of stuff you'll probably never play for just those one or two items you desire.
All 100+ pieces of Railworks DLC can sometimes be bought in one pack for a huge 90% discount.
Check with other vendors too, esp. the originating game houses. They have their own summer sales independent of Steam, which is just a delivery platform.
Getgamesgo.com is also a good source for Railworks stuff.

After thinking about it for a whole 5 minutes (A new record for me). I am just gonna get the lot today while i have the pennies, I have 5 or 6 items in my basket and that should do for now I think.
I did see the mega pack at christmas time, £200 for everything up that time but i had already bought about a 1/3rd to 1/2 the list by that time, it's a shame they don't use this occasion for steam to tally up what regular buyers dont have and offer them a tailored package so they may have everything else they need for a nice price :) just a whacky idea i knows, it's got sales potential though.
