Someone over on UKTS made a Tardis for MSTS.

I want one for Railworks, would put one in every route! *!greengrin!*

Are you sure your not thinking of a red public phone booth?

Clearly you have never seen Doctor Who. The TARDIS was always blue.

It's a police phonebox, they were always blue. I don't think I've ever seen one in the flesh though.

I watched the reruns in Black and White and the first few in color. So yes I have seen them, but as child.

I have watched so much BBC that I probably confused it with a real one.

Oh they were real; they disappeared around the time the police were equipped with radio though. The red ones were public phone booths, they started being replaced in the 80s.

There's one on TrainSim. Just do a search for "police box" and it'll come right up.

You will find the police box as well in Mike Rennie's blog, the link to it can be found under some of his posts in his signature.

Yes, you can download my policeboxblue.zip from trainsim.com.

It's an exact replica of one of the many different police boxes they used in the series since it started in about 1963 (it's undergone many transformations, just like the doctor himself, including changing size). The real police boxes appeared in Britain in the 1950's and were used by beat cops to call for assistance .... this was before the days of radios and mobile phones!

As well as a landline phone, they had a light on top ... the policeman could switch it on to attract attention from other nearby "Bobbies".
