RW Tools question

Unread postby railbard » Sun Jun 17, 2012 10:50 pm

Can RW Tools be used to change the numbers on rolling stock (specifically, the BritKits Heavyweight coaches)?

If so, how do you do it?

If not, exactly what do you do to accomplish such a number change?

Thanks!

Hi mate...

You know what they say - when all else fails, read the instructions :D Dick did a great job on these - you actually can change the car numbers yourself in the scenerio editor. In the call out box when you click on the car, in the wagon number field, there are a lengthy list of permutations you can input which will change the car's road name, its number and the rear drum head on the car that carries one. It is a similar format to the USRA steam locos. I just wish he would get to updating the steam fleet to RW3 standards. Its all in the respective "ReadMe's"

Hope that has helped...

!*cheers*!

I read Dick's instructions and thought they were clear with regard to changing the string of numbers, but not so much on WHERE to do it.

Thanks for the clarification. That makes it pretty simple.

I still have memories of MSTS Activity Editor. This straightforward stuff in RW Editor seems suspicious, you know? *!greengrin!*

Thanks!
