FPS

It's me again.
I know how to set the FPS to either 30 or 60, but it seems that every time I start TS2012 the setting is unchecked. Is there a way to lock that so I don't have to set it each time I start TS2012?
Also, where can I find out what all that other stuff in the "Command Line Options" and "Audio Options" boxes means? !*don-know!*

On Steam | Library | Installed Games list (to the left of screen) | right click on Train Simulator 2012 | left click Properties | General tab | Set launch options (for advanced users only! stated by Steam on the screen!) and enter this code (click on SELECT ALL and paste into Steam command line):
Code: Select all
-FPSLimit=30
or whatever you want, however is good you read this before:

Doc:

Thanks, You don't know how much I was pulling my hair out trying to set the FOV. I didn't have the slightest idea of where to go to do that.
Now, to the FPS info you just gave me. How can I add that when every time I go to the "set launch options" box the change I made adding the SetFOV setting is there. How do I add the FPSLimit info in too?

What is the command line code to keep the multi-core box checked? and do you use a comma space to seperate each command?

You can set multiple commands just leaving an space between them, like this...
Code: Select all
-DontUseBlueprintCache -FPSLimit=15
Yep, fifteen (no typpo) fps, I rarely reach 20fps, therefore I decided to use 15 which is also a low (though good for me) integer of the screen's refresh rate, in teory makes game run smoother, as per the thread I mentioned above.

I'll try the FOV thingy and then, maybe, my Steam line will be likely:
Code: Select all
-DontUseBlueprintCache -FPSLimit=15 -SetFOV=70

Cheers,
Doc.

Hi Bob,

Space separating, I tried -Multicore but didn't work, I've already asked but no one knows, so far.

Remeber when we chatted on Steam about photo lens diameter, related do Field of VIew and Angle of View? It looks like TS2012 shows as a 55-60mm, and human is close to a 80-90mm (if was a photographic machine). So I'll starting trying higher FOV first, later...
In another post someone said default FOV is 65, here:

Just asking because I did and I like it. So I did my own enhancements taking your teachings and putting them to use. And it came out awesome and I do not loose the zoom now lol

:D You have to choose... as everything in life. If you choose not loose zoom, you will sacrifice instruments view or will have struction's screen disturbing your field of view !*roll-laugh*!
After Class 37 Deltic, Class 67 is one of my favourites UK engines, the diamond Jubilee is the new Class 67? No so far, no coins to afford this now. *!sad!* But I will as soons as possible, with headlights for real (though fictional) of course... *!!wink!!*

In huge US engines is easy, the problem is tweak all at same time on SD40-2, SD-38, GP-7, GP-9, SW1200, SW1500, steams in general (holding firebox)... !*salute*!

-LogLocStrings
-LogMate
-NoPlayerTrain
-NoWagonBraking
-QuickStartSteam
-ResetAchievements
-ResetStats
-SetFOV
