Now that youve released the DD40X would you possibly consider adding another engine to your future projects list???

I know. He keeps himself pretty busy, and I suppose my request is more of a hope than anything else.. Like everything UP did with Sherman Hill, the DD40 was incredibly powerful all on its own, but it was designed with that B unit as a 13000 horsepower machine. At the time, One Centenial could do the job of 5 GP7s. But no-one has ever made the B unit in scale or virtual railroading, and without it, the engine is like having half a horse. Beautiful, but, missing something.. So i'm hoping that sometime in the future, he'll do one..

He made RSC's DD40X I believe. Also that photo is a DD35. Would go nice with a DD35A.

Gods how i hate it when i'm wrong.. But i think your right..
Many many years ago, back in the 1990s, I saw a photograph of a dd40X that EMD was parading around the US that had a B unit attached to it, and now that you mention it, I believe that the description DID mention that it was a B unit from a 35. I also had a nice long conversation with Mr George Cockle, who had been the historian for the UP before he wrote his book, and I dont recall him making any mention of a B unit either.. But then, the love of my life at that time was ( an in many ways still is ) the veranda style turbine.. So, where can i get my hands on this DD35 and DD35A ??? *!twisted!*

Just recently RSC posted on their Facebook page (or maybe it was in their newsletter) inviting content creators to sell their stuff on commission through RSC and Steam. They handle the heavy lifting of advertising and marketing, apparently, the creator just creates.

Sounds like a reasonable deal but I'm betting you have to live up to some high standards (that perhaps aren't always applied "in house", cf. Donner Pass).

You also have to give up about 40% of the money (I think that's what it adds up to).
Some goes to RSC and some goes to Steam.

But you get access to the fanbase instead of having to try to drum up interest on your own. You'd likely make up in volume what you lost in hosting fees/percentages.

Says the guy who is laboring over his first route and pulling his hair out by the roots trying to figure out just what he;s gotten himself into and no-how no-way ever going to be good enough to sell anything. *!greengrin!*

Of course you'll be good enough. Have a lil faith in yourself. It may not be fancy, but fancy doesnt make good.. fun makes good. Make it fun and people will like it.. :)..
