LOL! Maybe I missed this, but I just tried to install a few routes...The CSX Mainline, the Bay of Quinte Rwy. and the P&LE routes and it seems that installation of all three routes was quite similar. First, I extracted the routes to a temporary folder, then I ran the exe. file and pointed the installation to c:/program files/railworks (as stated in the readme). After the installation complete prompt showed up, I went into the Railworks folder and ran the blueprint exe to delete the un-needed files. When I start Railworks I STILL don't see any of the routes I tried to install. I have installed things to Railworks before...Not sure what I am doing wrong...Can anyone help? Thanks!

Have you downloaded the RW versions and not, by mistake, the RS versions. Otto has 2 separate pages for RS and RW.
I apologise if you already know this, but RS and RW treat routes differently. In RS there is a Routes data file that sits outside the routes folder (in Content) and holds the data for all routes. In RW each individual route's data is held inside the individual route folder.
A route, unzipped to RS, can be imported into RW using either Mike Simpson's RW Tools, or by physically copying the route to the RW Routes folder, then by extracting the route data from the RS data file then pasting it into the actual route folder.

hmmm, I will have to check that out! I know that Rich Garber's routes work, but none of the others. Not sure if this is allowed, but could you point me in the direction of where I can find the Railworks versions of these routes just in case? Thanks!

If you're running RailWorks under Steam, the path is c:/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/railworks. Isn't it?

You also may use the RW legacy add-on installation button. It's on the package manager tab. Take care to follow the instructions carefully!

I also tried to install these, the RW version to RW and they still never show up, ever, no matter what I do. Could someone perhaps re-package them as a RWP file for Railworks, perhaps then it will work. I think the problem is the installer, not working on all Railworks games for some reason.

If the route has a route-setup.exe from RWTools, then make sure you run is as an admin. Right click on EXE file and choose run as admin, for WIn 7 and VISTA. If you dont, it goes through the motions but doesnt install.

When I right clicked I didn't find anything on run as admin.
And I don't have RWtools, can't afford it.

When I right click I get this menu. If you dont then you dont have vista or WIN 7. You dont need RW Tools to install. RW Tools made the installer was my point.

I did this, dragged the file to the desk top and then right clicked and found run as admin, but still, no route?

Well your buddy Otto made these packages, maybe he can offer you some more insight. What I told you is what I did and it installed fine for me. Dont know what else to tell you.
