Talgo VII Finally Release

Unread postby SithMurcielago » Fri May 04, 2012 8:27 pm

After a long overdue wait the first ever Talgo Sets have been released. They are based on the popular Spanish Overnight train dued "Tren Hotel."

Get em now cuz I surely can't because I need to get a laptop again lol! I'm pretty sure someone somewhere will repaint them into Amtrak's Cascades.

Download here:

Post your pics because I want to drool !*drool*!

Nope never did see them, but wow I will be looking to see those on railpictures.net. I live in New York so the likely chance i will ever be on a talgo train is very slim., but its about time the talgos have their own exclusive locomotive. Maybe noow we won't see odd configurations of Locomotive Schemes on other Trainsets or shortages of Locomotives on available to use.

The Cascades talgos as delivered had gas turbine locos that matched the cars. Reliability and operating costs both forced them out of service. They built the transistion wings for the cars so they could use the older standard diesels.

I've ridden the Cascades several times, it's a great ride.

Downloading now... I'll have to see the new cascades paint, then maybe...

"Esta versión incluye los bogies en ancho 1668mm", wide gauge also.

Are 1435mm axles/trucks included?

I translated the page and it said that this version includes 1668mm for now. So i guess Miguel (creator) will release another set soon. i think there is a route that also got release as well on that site. So try it out and let know what you think.

Update:

In response to a bug reported on their site when doing a double ended cars a patch was released. Also let me know if you find any bugs and i will send it over to them.

"No está autorizado a descargar este adjunt" even without knowlegde of Spanish I recognize this means I am not authorised to download this patch. What now? Wait for the author to fix his asset, since it is a beta afterall?

Hi, Michael, miguel_talgoIII, author of the train hotel, as you have seen already in the download Talgo Train hotel, I hope you enjoy it as I am enjoying it, know it's a beta and probably will have some failures, until completely termination, also want to tell you that will come out with width 1448, I'm also with the model, car generator to the cascades, well I hope you enjoy and that you enjoy, and as well you said my companion basi, there is no problem in download, I will keep you informed.
regards
Miguel
I hope the translator is well translated

Nice for you guys to join us here on RWA. I been watching railsim.es for a long time and i'm happy this train came out finally. Its even better miguel that you are now creating the Amtrak variant of of the talgo. I just wish my computer didn't go out on me so soon, but I will continue to support and report anything new on this and other future projects you may have.

Good Luck and Welcome!

I know it's a little thing, But I can't seem to locate the drivable power car. I've been able to assemble the entire train, including the one control car, but have not been able to make the train drivable with the engineer icon.

I think that is because you have to use a single Locomotive and attach it to the train like with the cascades train. You might have to do a quick edit on the Front and rear couplers and change them to Automatic rather than chain which i believe they are.
