P&LE Final

Unread postby tdwolf » Thu Apr 19, 2012 10:25 am

To all that have downloaded the P&LE Final

I apologize for the problems that everyone is having with the route

I was trying to build a route that has it's real rail line in my home town, but it has turned out to be nothing but a headache

hopefully my next route

Connellsville to Baltimore will not have the same problems that the P&LE had

if people are hesitant about downloading any of my routes i will understand

Thank you

What are these problems that everyone is having?
There's a lot of expertise in this forum. Perhaps the problems are fixable.

I am confused as well. I looked though a page of your old posts but none of them really touched on problems with your route.

There's about 3 or 4 folks over at TS that are having problems.

The only problem I had with the final version of the P&LE route is the P&LE side signal lights have problems displaying colors. But being a fan of the P&LE I did not like the loops at the west end of the route tieing the P&LE to Conrail. I installed the December 2011 version without any problems where there is no loops. I am mainly using the route to pratice and test standard scenarios with a route that is complex without making a mess of another route I am very fond of that will have some complex scenarios.

The main problem was missing assets. Otto and I fixed that part. It took 4 tries to get all of them. But if you have every route out there installed, you would not have these problems because you would already have the missing assets. There is nothing wrong with the route. Nothing at all. I had no problems with it until I put it on a virgin copy of RW. To be complete it also needs some Allaboard assets, like the Colten and Northern, it also needs the NEC and the Soo Line assets. I know first hand how hard it is to package a route especially when you have everything you could find installed. It is also very hard to document everything.

Which one is it that is problem free? The one from Otto's site or the one from the RWA library?

Thanks buzz. !*salute*!

I think I should have worded my question a bit differently since it seems there's only a small group of folks having problems with the route.
It could be both versions are fine, aside from the problems related by that small group.

Otto's site has the complete one with all assets included with the route files. It is a larger file than the one here. Both asset packages are the same I believe.
