Unread postby BNSF650 » Fri Apr 13, 2012 7:12 pm

Just wondering when is RSC going to wake up and start getting more US Routes made and locomotives.

Oddly enough the F7 & GP9 sound quite similar in RW :P

Yeah, I don't know... I would not be too surprised if the SD75 came out sounding like a SD70. Does it actually sound much different? and you can imagine the thought process for the F40.

I don't know how is in real life, with real engines... what I can say, after thousand hours working with enhancements, is that all locomotives of a certain type (say huge ones like ES44, SD70 and Dash 9, and probably with the upcoming SD75) are quite similiar on measurements (lenght, position of cab and steps, fuselage sharp etc etc)... I have the impression that this is to facilitate the construction of game basic models but should be a little far from the prototypes, for those who want "realistic" models (for me that's not a problem, I don't care for such precision on models)...

Thank you. I've been running the NERW last two days and it's a really great route. So many third party US routes, I'll be busy shunting until 2013 easily. Most third party stuff is equal to if not a cut above RSC anyways. !!*ok*!!

That's my pet Peeve about RW. . . recycling cabviews and sounds and marketing the locomotive as "New". Personally, I would only pay half the price for a locomotive if it reused sounds and a cabview, but that's just me.

IIRC, The GP9 and F7 had the same Prime Mover (Or at least variances of the same one), so they would have sounded similar. *!!wink!!*
