Consists

Aside from clicking and clicking and clicking and.... Is there anyway to place multiple cars at once? Just today, I figured out how to save consists but, I would like to know if there is a way of placing, say, 50 cars of the same type.

Once I tried to select a small group of cars and then copy and paste but didn't worked to me, maybe I did something wrong... !*don-know!*

Anyway I had to go to RW_Tools to finish the job, so now when I want to create a long consist (+70 cars) I add some few cars (any one) then I use RW_Tools to duplicate as much as I want, and also to swap to different types or liveries, or load/unload them etc. It's not much fast, though is more flexible.

Another way I came up with today that seems for work for me is if you are creating a unit train such as a long coal drag, then you can make a small consist of 10 cars and then keep adding that consist and it seems to work a bit faster. I remember an add on program back in the MSTS days that allowed you to do this very thing I am asking about. It would be pretty cool if some of the programming geniuses of our community could write something like that.
