RW3 lights and rain

Unread postby OldProf » Sun Nov 06, 2011 1:41 pm

RW3 has brought us engine lights that actually produce visible light and precipitation that actually sticks to a windshield and can be cleared by wipers. My question is, are these effects strictly a product of the englie/locomotive itself or do they also depend on the route being used? In other words, will these effects appear in any route, regardless of its relationship to RW3?

Thanks,

Tom Pallen

Nope, "headlights" (I'm not talking about other enviroment lights effects) and raindrops are only for default/optimized TS2012 locos, it's not related to the routes but to each engine.

The headlights can be added to any locomotive, as they are simple child objects. The rain effects however do have to be added to the base model.

Does anybody know how to move the headlights on the locomotive?

It is a child object so you can move it around my altering the values in its 'matrix'. I wrote about this on my blog.
