Portland Terminal Update

Unread postby miata54 » Sat Oct 29, 2011 7:48 pm

Checking in at the G-Trax website for updates to PT, Rick says that the updates have been completed for the route. They are immediately available through G-Trax if you purchased PT through his site. Updates have been forwarded to Steam for those who purchased PT through them.

I've got to assume that Steam hasn't made them available yet as I still have no view through the windshield on the E7. See pic. For those of you who purchased PT through Steam as I did, does your E7 cab view show a blank view? Just wondering if I'm missing something? Just did a "verify cache", and I still get the blank view. I'm running TSX.

That makes 2 updates I'm waiting for Steam to get around to posting, Portland Terminal and the Class 56.

I also have that issue. I am sure it will be updated in time. My copy also came from Steam.

PT is only available through Steam. You won't see the update for a while.

Here's how it works. I submitted the update to RSC today. The RSC folks don't go to work until Monday morning, GMT. First, they have to download the route from their server, along with all the other things they've got going on. Then they'll probably look it over, maybe change some things, and then send it along to Valve Corp. After a while it goes into the Steam queue and eventually you get the result. Can I put a time scale on that? No way!

I'm usually the last one to find out it's been updated! I still don't know if the Big Steam updates have happened at your level. Lucky me though, I have all the updates now !*YAAA*!

So now it's back to the next mystery project!

I presume you can just install it into a steam copy anyway, just have to reinstall it every time you verify your local copy.

Hi Guys,

The updates to G-TraX content will be out asap. We had a busy time last week with testing of DLC yet to be released as well as the Halloween release, and fixes for other content. We don't like overloading Steam with lots of exchanges so everything is provided in a timely fashion.

Rick, not sure about the comms thing, I always keep you informed of progress.

Regards
