BNSF Seatle Sub - Major Error???

Unread postby ChuckF » Sun Oct 23, 2011 2:25 pm

Hi! This is certainly a great route, but when I tried to create a Standard Scenario, I found that all the switches are automatic and frozen, in that the points will not separated from the main rails and will not switch, even though a path is created through them. I sure hope that someone else checks this out to see if it is my installation or not. I'm wondering if the author could explain why he chose to use automatic switches in the yards, and not just on the main lines. Cheers; Chuck F.

PS:- I should have been more specific. As an example, the south end of the ARCO yard is a case in point. cbf

Good morning:

The first screen shot is from the Seatle Yard and there are switches in the yard but some are so close they are in the middle of the next track. The second screen shows the map in the sim and there are places where there are automatic switches. The small blue dots are manual switches. You might have to click on the screen to all of it.

Hope this helps.

Hi Chandler! When you go to World Editor/Linear Object Tools, red vertical boxes will appear over switches that have not been installed properly. This is what I was referring to. Cheers; Chuck F.
