Is there a way to make a desktop TS2012 Icon instead of the desktop Railworks Icon.?

When you upgrade to TS2012, you should get a new icon.

Right-click on your icon; choose Properties from the menu. Click Change Icon button and browse to steam\steamapps\common\railworks\railworks.ico. Click Open, click OK.

Ok, you lost me... too much double clicking and not enough words there. From your original question, I assumed you had a Steam/RW icon (the black and white square with driver rod) that loaded your new RW2012 and you wanted to change the looks of the icon to the new shiny round TS2012 icon. As for what version of what game/app runs when you double click whatever, that's an entirely different subject; all I instructed was how to change an icon. Any icon. Basic MS Windows stuff.
Now, do you have an icon on your desktop that successfully opens/runs TS2012 for you? If so, follow my instructions precisely (note I only instructed "clicks", no double-clicks) and you can change the appearance of your icon. That's all it will do. It's a simple 5 second process and has nothing to do with a login. If you do not have an icon, or your icon is not opening the right version of Railworks, please clarify. Sorry if I confused.
