Silly me, I changed the Phorum Penninsula to a rainy day... it was raining inside the beach trollies. !*roll-laugh*!

Yeah, I've noticed rain still goes through buildings too.

Even stranger though is I was just on the horseshoe curve route, and I was getting shadows from the trees inside the cab. The angles they were at it was not possible that they were coming through the windows, so for some reason the roof doesn't seem to be blocking the light properly.

Have you ever noticed the cab in a flash go completely dark, like a eclipse of the sun is literally taking place only inside your cab and following you and no matter what direction you face after that the sun never shines through the cab again?

I have noticed it instantly go dark, but then a mile or two down the tracks it instantly gets light again...

Perhaps this has something to do with the lightbulb object that is over some of the towns?

Maybe instead of having a single light source near where the sun should be, RSC has multiple light sources throughout the map. When the angle to the nearest light source crosses whatever determines if the cab is lit or not, it instantly changes from light to dark?

RW uses a single sun light source relative to the viewer's position, and changes only with the time of day.
Cheers!

You have to have TSX option checked and it only works in some of the default locos, including the ES44 and SD40, for example.

TSX on, you are in the new UP SD40-2 or the HSC GP7 or the HSC F7, still no rain effect ? Have you verified your game files with steam? Maybe you are missing some files ?

If you were using the Horseshoe Curve version Pennsy GP7, and having enabled TSX, and enabled rain as weather, it should work. hm, im outta ideas. Last idea i have, verify game files via steam, you might have some files missing...

Just to make absolute certain you are doing this correctly... last post from me as im outta luck on this one..

1. Verify game files via your steam client, takes about five minutes.
2. Enable TSX
3. Select your new Union Pacific SD40-2
4. Set weather to rain

If it still doesnt work , then send RSC an email telling them your problem, they might help.

How did it turn out for ya ? Are you getting the rain on your wipers/windows.?

Off topic ... you bnsf650 just saved me countless hours of relaying turnouts. I didn't like the manual switch stands on the route I'm working on, then I saw your YouTube video... Thanks a bunch ! !!*ok*!!
