Class 166

So I tried running the class 166 DMU earlier today, and no matter what I do, I can't seem to make the timetable on any of the scenarios. I've tried gradually increasing the throttle, going to 100% as fast as possible but still avoiding wheelslip, setting the throttle at 50-60% and then releasing the brakes, but no matter what, I can't keep the timetable.

Anybody have any hints on driving the 166?

Drive it like you stole it?

Ignoring the speed limits is the only way I can complete the class 166 scenarios - the timetable is too tight otherwise.

I tried it again last night, I released the brakes while boarding so it would accelerate right away and put the throttle straight to 100% On the other end I delayed braking as much as possible, not braking until .5-.6m from the platform, depending on what speed I had gotten up to, and I had to use 80%, the highest brake setting before emergency, to stop in time. It was working (somewhat). I was on time at all the stations, but I was losing between 5-15 seconds per stop (Supposed to arrive at 8:00 for stop one, arrive at 8:00:10, supposed to arrive at 8:05 second stop, arrive at 8:05:25) which isn't sustainable, until I forgot about the red light after Didcot and got a SPAD...
