Numbering Help

Ok, so I have read in some of the downloads how "auto numbering" has been altered so certain assets will match more closely to the real ones. How is this auto numbering altered? I am toying with the idea of creating my own RR for my new route that I am building and I have managed to struggle through the pains of learning how to manipulate the texture files and now I would like to see if I can tackle the auto number thing so I can create my own fleet of stuff. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Do you want to eliminate the autonumbering, change the number series of it, change the font and color, change the position on the wagon?

You can do any of these except the last one. The position is part of the model geometry.

Let us know what you want to do, and someone can help you.

What I am looking to do is change the series so I can create my own range of numbers. I figured out how to eliminate the numbers after a few try's. Knowing how to change the font would be some good info to have as well. Thank you very much.

The series are all set up in a .dcsv file which should be in the wagon's main folder - if it's not, it's probably referring to one in some other wagon folder, and you'll have to find it in the blueprint. The tag you're looking for is <NumberingList>. The dcsv file itself is pretty self-explanatory.

To change the font you need to provide new number textures, and to do that you have to understand Named Texture Sets a bit. If you look for <PrimaryNamedTextureSet> in the wagon blueprint you'll find a reference to an .xml file; I am looking at the default HAA at the moment and it's called "RailVehicles\Freight\HAA\Default\Wagon\Textures\haa_Digits.xml". This is a reference to another blueprint, so if I went into that texture folder I'd find somethign called haa_Digits.bin; open that up and you'll see a list of characters and textures. Those textures are what you need to change if you want a new font.
