I noticed over at the Trainsim library that there is no "Routes" folder for the old sim. Were there any freeware routes that were created for Rail Simulator and if so, where can they be found? RW Tools provides a means of converting RS routes to RW. Got me to wondering.

You may have a look at UKTS (
http://www.uktrainsim.com/). You can find some RS freeware routes there, but if you have RW, in the RW folders you find a lot more and of better quality.

The Package Manager in Railworks will allow you to install RS routes/ scenarios/ rolling stock/ etc. Just click on "Install Legacy Item"

Thanks for the link Rudolph. I'll check it out. And thanks Chris for the info regarding "legacy" installation. The reason for my original inquiry was that I remember a route (not sure if it was RS or MSTS based) that ran through the Alps in Europe (Austria maybe) and I believe it was electrified, but not absolutely sure. Do either of you recall this route?
Thx

It may be the Albula Line which was MSTS and released in early 2003.

In the Misc section at TS.com you can find the PO&N route.
Can't remember of there is more.
